All we have been doing lately seems to be all draws vanities. It’s one of the first things I am asked when I do a quote. Can we have an all draws vanity? How does the vanity work with the plumbing?. My answer is, of course, yes and by the power of magic, we get that vanity to work!. All jokes aside I’m here to cover why more and more people are wanting this vanity configuration. Perth, Western Australia where all our bathroom renovations take place has had an explosion of choice. It feels like yesterday, well 10 years ago where you only had about 4 options for vanities and everything was a ceramic top but how things have changed you can pretty much get every configuration of vanity pre-made without spending five thousand dollars.
So let me break down the two reasons the all draw vanity has become the most popular vanity we install.
1. It looks cleaner
One of the reasons but not the main is the style of the vanity. It has a sleeker vibe to the finish of the vanity with instead of having 10 cuts it has two. Making it visually a more appealing finish and cleaner look.
2. It Functions Better
The main reason is really the function. All draws allows you to access parts of the vanity that a traditional vanity won’t allow you. How often have you put things into a vanity and once it has got to the back you never see it again. Well, the all draws vanity allows you to simply place and pull out allowing you to access everything you place into it. It really comes down to this functional process on why the vanity is appealing to all people in 2018.
Now one of the designs of the vanity is the cut out for the plumbing. Below are vanities we have installed and the layout on the inside to give you a better idea of function.
I often my self-recommend to clients the all draws vanity. One drawback I hear is what do I do with the larger items? and this is a great question. Probably the biggest flaw of the vanity as it does not allow for really tall items but how big are these items you want to install!. The truth is access is king in storage so if you have something that makes it easier to access items most people will move towards that style and the all draw vanity is the biggest example of this.
