Before and After - Walk In Shower

March 13, 2018

Seeing before and afters of a similar space to yours is the best way to be inspired. Below is for bathrooms that utilise the walk-in shower. In most cases, they have removed the bath all together allowing for a large vanity and a big fixed panel walk-in shower. Generally, these layouts always make the room feel bigger because the original shower feels like a wall upon entry by moving this to the back of the room and or converting the screen to a frameless set up will make it feel so much bigger. Jandakot Bathroom Renovation

The owner if of this homes big request was the biggest vanity we could get for all her growing kid's needs. She no longer required a small bath and wanted to maximize the space with a walk in shower and large double vanity. I personally love the color choices.

Highlights

  • Pearl Hexagon Feature Wall

  • Concrete Lapato 600mm x 600mm Base Tile

  • Venato Oak 1800mm Vanity

 Kalamunda Bathroom Renovation

This is a classic 80's bathroom combining a floral feature pattern tile, brown base tiles and the wired shower screen that always cracked!

  • All White Bathroom (Free Range White Tile)

  • In Built Shower Seat

  • Infinity Wall Hung 1200mm Vanity

 Kelmscott Bathroom Renovation

The amount of bathroom we come across the old fashioned in wall mirror box is incredible. The biggest renovation task in this room is effectively removing the box making in shower friendly.

  • Shower Recess (All Internal Tiled Feature)

  • Charlotte Wood Grain 1200mm

  • Matching Charlotte Mirror Cabinet

Doubleview Bathroom Renovation

Simple can be stunning. By moving the location of the vanity for this bathroom it allows for a mirror above the vanity which sounds simple but it can mean a lot to a bathroom owner.

  • Shower Niche With In Back Feature

  • Wood Grain Wall Hung Vanity

  • Frameless 1200mm x 2100mm Shower Screen

Claremont Bathroom Renovation

The owner of this bathroom renovation wanted to make the space feel as big as possible. The gloss white tiles allow for maxium light to hit the room and create a larger looking space.

Highlights

  • Matte Black Spin Tapware

  • Timber Black Butt Vanity

  • Bevelled Subway Tiles

South Perth Bathroom Renovation

The amount of water damage in this bathroom was insane. You can see from the before image the water had destroyed the cabinet over a short period of 6 months. Once that waterproofing has failed or is non existent water will travel so quick.

Highlights

  • Shower Recess (Floor Feature On Back Wall)

  • Braxton Wood Grain 1200mm

  • Snow White Bianco Marble Floor 300mm x 600mm

Bertram Bathroom Renovation

I personally love the bathroom below because its a great examples of a client taking a chance with what they love. This is an early 2000's bathroom that was designed poorly with a lack of storage and spacing.

Highlights

  • Royal Chester 450mm x 450mm Encasutic Floor Tiles

  • Vega Wood Grain 1200mm

  • Subway 100mm x 300mm With Grey Grout

Canning Vale Bathroom Renovation

Below is a bathroom renovation that had so much wasted space it was unbelievable . The create this small box of a shower but if the had just opened it up with a walk in shower would feel so big.

  • Galaxy Stone 300mm x 600mm Floor and Feature Tile

  • Fox Wood Grain 900mm Vanity With Black Vessel Basin

Like the above mentioned Jandakot bathroom renovation the owners wanted storage!. I personally love the rounded black tapware as it looks even over the vessel basin

  • Massive Mirror Cabinet

  • Matte Black Shower Combo

  • Rounded Mirage Basin Taps With Spout Over Sink

 Maddington Bathroom Renovation

Not many people love a roman bath but they did serve a purpose, The owner as you could imagine hated it and wanted to make the room feel more luxurious.

Highlights

  • Snow Bianco Floor To Ceiling 300mm x  600mm Tile

  • Fox 900mm Wood Cabinet With Matching Mirror Cabinet

  • Tile Insert Drains Including Strip

Attadale Bathroom Renovation

So this bathroom renovation is a little different. It is what I call a long family bathroom with the screen doglegging over the bath. The most affordable and cost effective way of renovating this bathroom is like the set up below.

Highlights

  • Herringbone Wall Tiles

  • Gold Tapware Including Rain Shower

  • Bamboo Vanity Benchtop

Joondana Bathroom Renovation

Lasty we have this Joondana bathroom that has no window! Without a window the room can feel dull so a skylight and the right tile choice makes the room feel so much larger.

Highlights

  • Skylight Into Room

  • Combined Matching Wood Grain Vanity, Mirror and Lights

  • Textured Matt Wall Tiles
