Before and After - Toilet Renovations

January 29, 2020

Toilets maybe not the sexiest renovation you do but it can still look inviting. Often the two biggest questions you receive regarding toilet renovations is the height and if you click here I will break that down for you and secondly "should I have a hand Basin". Below are before and afters of toilet renovations we have done in Perth giving you little hints and tips along the way.

Canning Vale - Full Height Tiling With A Hand Basin

This renovation will answer both of those questions. Tiling does cost more but does allow you to make the room easier to keep clean. It gives you more to play with the types of tiling and can increase the feeling of the height of the room.

Hand Basins - A lot of clients love the idea of having a place to wash your hands that is not the bathroom after using the restroom. Love though and practical are sometimes two different things. Often it is physically possible to put a small hand basin in the toilet but actually using it is another question. Often with the depth of the toilets only being around the 900mm mark you will often have a very reduced eye catching basin protruding out the wall as you walk in which can make a smaller room feel even smaller.

Maida Vale Toilet Renovation -  Pattern floor tiles are a great way to hide mess and hair!

Mt Hawthorn Toilet Renovation - This is where full height tiling really makes a difference. You can make the room really pop with a decorative tile or even a different tile such as a darker floor to make the room pop.

Double View Toilet Renovation - 1.2m High is a great height to tile the toilet as it allows the walls to stay cleaner and is ideal for modern toilets that are called back to wall but actually sit back to the tiles so if you have only one tile it will have a gap behind unless built differently.

 Tuart Hill Toilet Renovation

Subway tiling can be amazing it just depends on if you are bold enough to grout the tiles in a tile that is different to the finish of the tile.

North Perth Toilet Renovation - The next two toilet renovations are examples of just using the floor tile to make the toilet pop!

 Carine Toilet Renovation

Where some finishes are laid vertical to create a height, running the tiles horizontal will create a feeling of depth.
