Hobless Showers
Hobless showers are as simple as they sound, they are the exact same as the above shower setups except with no hob. The bigger difference is to do these types of hobless showers in WA you are now most of the time required to install a reflux valve. There are exceptions to this when it comes to current drain heights with not all bathrooms needing this if they are hobless but it is to protect your living areas with if the main sewerage line on your street becomes blocked it will flow into your floor drains and into your house. Without the hob, it will just flow into your house but the reflux valve stops the sewage from coming out from your shower drain.
These drains are a little costly to buy and install on the outside of the home so always take this into consideration when picking the right drain for you.
It’s important to note that all our advice is general in nature and all bathrooms are unique so always speak to your local qualified tradesman for the best advice on all plumbing related questions.
