Bathroom Renovation Willetton
October 13, 2017

Willetton and Leeming feel like the suburbs we have renovated the most over the last 20 years. It really helps with the feel and the design of the bathroom as we can either go back and look into our records or have a feel of what bathroom options work for this area.

What We Did

It feels like strip lighting is all the rage at the moment and this bathroom is no different. This bathroom renovation, as well as bathroom renovation I am posting next in Como both, use a lot of strip lighting to make it feel Hollywood. A conversion of an ensuite and a bedroom due to our clients have had their children move out so why not make use of the space. Removing a dividing wall and extending the bathroom to make twice as big is bold but a great move. The previous bathroom was the size of the vanity and Melissa really wanted a bigger space, a freestanding bath and walk-in shower so we did our best to accommodate both. To create a beautiful feature wall we needed to block in the current window and employ a large skylight which I love.

Bathroom Items Did We Use

The tapware we used was from Reece and is called Mizu. The bath was the Caroma Auro 1600mm x 735mm. Like a lot of our vanities lately, Bill created a custom design for our clients with a charcoal laminate fronts and jet black Caesarstone top.

Star of the Room

The star of the room for me is the feature wall. So much time and effort went into the design, redesigning, tiling and fitting of this wall. The window was replaced with frosted glass with LED lighting installed at the top controlled with a remote that also controls the strip lighting under the wall hung vanity. Lastly, the charcoal stone cladding was installed to make the room feel more earthy and natural. The suburb of Willetton is very full of big parks and nature so it was important for Mel and John to incorporate that into the there bathroom.

Last Notes about the Bathroom

Be bold when renovating. Mel and John were they knew what they wanted, they knew they had space so why not make a move on that. It was 6 months of planning but i think we really nailed it together to achieve something beautiful and spacious with a lot of my favourite buzz word the wow factor.
