Our bathroom renovation company first started in the vale back in the in 90’s when the first estates were coming up. Often the new estate homes were put together quite poor with plastic fittings and coloured look alike marble tiles, so renovation boom began and continues today in the suburb.
What We Did
The layout of this bathroom contained the number one item in bathroom en-suites built-in canning vale during the early years of the estates the unnecessary spa bath. I feel like every ensuite built at this time had a corner spa bath it was as if we had too much time and water to waste. This bathroom was no different the owners wanted to get a big bathroom feel with a walk-in shower and large double vanity. So the keynotes were practical and spacious.
Bathroom Items We Used
The major items of the bathroom renovation were the shower screen and vanity as they were both custom made. Brenda and Shane wanted these items to last so it was important to them to have them custom made to match their needs. The shower screen was a 1400mm wide which is much larger fixed panel then normal fixed panels shower screens you get in Perth but as you can see from the layout of the bathroom they had the space to work with. The vanity was custom made using the Formica brand Smoke Strand Base which is a nice patterned grey and the New Basmati Caesarstone Top with a 40mm Edge Finish.
Star of the Room
Take your pick. I love the mirrors, the double bevelled mirrors were such a popular mirror I feel we put them in almost every bathroom we did at the time, don’t underestimate how hard it is to find a decorative mirror. Other highlights of the bathroom renovation are the Tile Insert Drains, the very hard to find light grey wall tile that does not have a pattern (simple is the hardest thing to find). The beautiful glass decorative bowls give the vanity a pop complementing the finished of the subtle bench-top
Last Notes about the Bathroom
Some bathroom renovations are just done right and this is one of those examples. Brenda and Shane had a great vision of what they wanted and executed it quite perfectly. You have to ask yourself first what you want to achieve from the renovation, then how much you want to spend then finally who you want to do it. Luckily we were the ones chosen to do it but without the practical approach of the couple, you don’t always achieve something like this. They made what felt like a small room spacious by giving up on something they don’t use for something they will always use. The vanity was used as the feature point with all the other fancy items used as subtle practical items around it. The use of a light grey wall tile is genius because if this is done safely with a white wall tile it completely changes the feel and finish of the room if you have light use it go darker. Canning Vale ensuites are large bathrooms most of the time especially for the older part so be smart when renovating if you have a giant bath and a huge vanity those costs add up maybe you can keep an item and work around it my advice is always when deciding if you something is going to stay in the renovation process is think to yourself do I want to dictate my whole renovation around something that is miscoloured.
