Before and After – All In A Row (Walk In)
April 4, 2019

Seeing before and afters of a similar space to yours is the best way to be inspired. Below is for bathrooms that utilize the idea of an open shower and a toilet in the room. In most cases, we have removed the bath all together allowing for a toilet in the room and a big fixed panel walk-in shower. Generally, these layouts always make the room feel bigger because the original shower feels like a wall upon entry by moving this to the back of the room, and or converting the screen to a frameless setup will make it feel so much bigger.

Each of the elements of this bathroom work so well that it is hard to pick out all the best parts. The best example of using space is the sliding door for this ensuite allows for so much more space.

As most of these renovations should be the key is to have the feature wall on the long wall for greater impact. This also had one the worst trying to fit everything into a room I had ever seen in the before when I saw it for the first time.

Fremantle Bathroom Renovation

This bathroom below was an example of a crazy thing they used to do in 70’s bathrooms was the double entry to the toilet from the bathroom and laundry. It’s dead space and no one needs two entrances into a toilet!. The owners decided to get rid of the bath and the door and created a much bigger feeling room.

Bricked shower walls are not always my go-to bathroom design as I feel it can block light into a room. That being said they are a lot easier to clean than glass so its a balance of what you prefer.

Extra Info –

Encaustic floors can be awesome for hiding all the dirt and hair in a bathroom as the heavy pattern works as a distraction from straight colours floors where marks are easier to see.
