Before and After – Wet Rooms
July 11, 2019

To start off a “wet room” is a bathroom that is designed to maximize space in small rooms by creating wet areas in the bathroom that are traditionally dry. A large drain or multiple drains are set up to take water away quickly from larger areas than normal with no shower screen set up or a non-full shower screen enclosure. It is by far one of the most difficult renovations to create and get right as you need a high degree of planning to make all elements work in a way that drains well and fits in the right positions. Below the renovations are broken down into three parts, one being the traditional setup, the second being with a bricked bath the last is the all in a row toilet set up.

I love this bathroom for the vision the owner had for the space and the finish product is something so special.

Mt Nasura Bathroom Renovation

I love people who make bold choices in bathrooms. I would be the most fun doing this job seeing someone take a space and own what they want. Below is a bathroom renovation that had really bad use of space with so much floor so the owners wanted that floor to pop!

Marangaroo Bathroom Renovation

Wet rooms like most bathrooms come in all shapes and sizes often with layouts not allowing for all the items to go on the same wall but like all good renovators, you have to be able to look at a space and know how to get the most out of it. Below is a renovation we did in Marangaroo where it was a long room that had a window stopping us doing the all in a row so we improvised.

  • Glass Black Window With Internal Awning Window
  • Back To Wall Freestanding Bath
  • Window Long Shower Niche

Baldivis Bathroom Renovation

Tile choices can be limitless it feels like and because of that overwhelming. What I will say is try and avoid just white bathrooms if you have a white cabinet.

Roleystone Bathroom Renovation

A wall to wall wall is a great option for shelving but it does take a little bit of effort to make it work as the drainage, bath position and the new shower screen layout has to be planned to perfection and a high level of execution.

Bricked Bath (Set-Up)

Below are bathroom renovation we have completed that are wet rooms but instead of using the freestanding bath set up, they are more towards the bricked bath finish. The key benefit really of the bricked bath is the reduction of areas that are harder to clean, a stronger bath set up, and aimed more at kids.

One of the keys to dark tiles is light. If you have the light build the dark I say. Below is one of our bathroom renovations in Canning Vale. The owner wanted to use one tile which in itself makes the space feel larger without the breakup of tones.
