We recently finished a job in Roleystone, Western Australia that used a frosted screen in there bathroom renovation. This is not the first time we have done this but i am torn on how i feel about the design. Most often when we do a fixed panel set up we install a see through fixed panel the reason most often is to make the room feel bigger by not having any walls breaking it up.
However, the client for this job wanted the frameless shower screen that is easy to clean so you have to weigh up that struggle of function over style. I am sure over time the see through shower screens don’t stay that way but why admit defeat too early. I do love the open feel the see through gives which i have put below but also below is the bathroom described above with its privacy style screen.
- Easy to keep clean
- It gives you great privacy
- Creates what appears to be a big wall narrowing the space
- Hides any lovely niche you put into the shower walls
As I said at the start I am torn but I feel this is something that the individual has to be sure of. I still love this beautiful bathroom we did in Roleystone. The use of modern tones such as oak barrel floor tiles but keeping it timeless with the marble wall tiles and under-mounted stone.
