This Bagot Street project located in Subiaco is a bathroom renovation that has been designed by the owner to not only look beautiful but to suit a more leisurely cleaning lifestyle using porcelain panels.
A well-thought-out floor plan has accommodated the use of these stunning 1000mm x 3000mm porcelain panels throughout the entire bathroom with a sacrifice of a more wet room style to accommodate the unique nature of the tiles and prep work around drainage.
The massive format tiles are unique in their ability to be also used as a mitred benchtop and joined to create a seamless and very durable top for a vanity.
Large porcelain panels have been used in Europe for decades but as the market moves away from stone panels, especially in Australia these newish wall coverings are bursting with popularity but there is an issue with this.
To lay these types of tiles takes a ton of knowledge, a high understanding of the prep work required, accessibility to the property and the right tools to lay/cut them.
Our very experienced tiling duo of Laszlo and Luigee though have worked with large format tiles like these many a time and you can see from the results the guys did an incredible job.
