If the frameless shower screens are not custom made or installed properly small dribs and drabs may come through the screen door joins. In case that the glass for the frameless door is not precisely cut and installed, the door may not close perfectly.

Costs
A major drawback of frameless glass screens is the cost. The glass is often 10mm to 12mm thick meaning it is almost twice as thick as a semi-frameless shower screen. Most frameless shower doors are custom made and there is additional labour to craft and install them. The extra labour costs also add to the price.
