Every bathroom needs storage plain and simple. The problem in a bathroom, especially in a small bathroom, is space is a premium so we need to look at maximising all storage opportunities such as thin and tall cupboards, alcoves all designed to stop messy benchtop and cluttered drawers
Below we give a few simple ideas that we have used throughout all the small bathroom renovation through Perth.
What a Tall Boy You Are.
Tallboys are a high storage cupboard that is often used for towels and cleaning products that can be grabbed at a higher height opposed to bending down.
Tallboys usually 400mm to 500mm wide and 2m high which allows you to put maximum storage in a small section of a bathroom using minimal wall space.
Make it Practical
Do you hate having all your essential bathroom products out on display, cluttering your vanity space? Us too! The only solution to this is ensuring there is plenty of hidden storage incorporated within the bathroom design so all of these items have a place to live. A shaving cabinet and drawers within your vanity is a great way of adding storage. For a break down on all draws vanity advice Click Here
This Langford bathroom renovation has what is called a ceiling height mirror cabinet which is 1100mm High. Yes, it is high but still allows you to install items you may need for a later date.
Keep It In The Bricks
Another way to find more storage space in a small bathroom is to install recessed shelving wherever possible. Recessed shelving can be perfect in the shower, next to the bath or even near your vanity. The space can be wide enough to hold soap, shampoo or even cosmetics. You can make recessed shelving a decorative part of the bathroom by installing contrasting tiles in the recess to create a feature wall. The reason this adds storage to the bathroom is that is done not constrict the room. For more advice on the subject Click Here
More Info – If a recess is not an option for you still have a few options. One is building brickwork externally such as this full-length wall or small footrest. The other is the humble corner shelf which is great for keeping out of the way. For more brickwork ideas Click Here
